Heritage Park offers visitors the chance to journey back in time to experience what life in Portage County was like from 1870 to 1910. Open seasonally, Heritage Park features 11 historic buildings that have been relocated to the site from throughout the county. From a train depot and rail car to a schoolhouse to family homes, Heritage Park will inspire visitors to dive deeper into history, perhaps, even their own lineage.
The Wisconsin Korean War Memorial serves as a solemn reminder of the bravery and dedication of the men and women who served in the Korean War. The memorial is free and open to the public, allowing visitors to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made by Korean War veterans. It serves as a place for contemplation and remembrance.
Dig into the world of agriculture at the newly opened Food + Farm Exploration Center. This hands-on science center features more than 60 interactive exhibits taking children and adults alike behind the scenes. Exhibit topics range from soil health to watering techniques to food processing to food distribution and all the stops in between. The Food + Farm Exploration Center was developed to respond to the growing crisis of people not understanding where their food comes from.
